The charge was a ridiculous Interfering with a 911 call. An unfortunate situation for young man with autism to be arrested in what was supposed to be a supportive environment. I was arrested for a charge I did not do. Within 2 hours of having a magistrate appoint an attorney, Jo was there to see me. At my first court hearing she had an offer that was amazing. However the complaining person on the charge created headaches before we could get back to court 3 days later. Jo worked with my family law attorney as well as the prosecutor and went above and beyond to get this case resolved how it should have been, dismissed. She also not one time entertained any idea of me taking a plea agreement to get out of jail sooner. As well she was ready to go to trial from the beginning which to me is not very common with a court appointed attorney. If I could give more then 5 stars I would.

Jo was on top of everything and didn't sugar coat one bit on how things could possibly turn out. I had a lot of evidence that could've really been used against me (BAC .177) but she gave me hope when she found alternative routes that could possibly prevent from getting a harsh punishment for the first offense. The end result was getting my DWI dropped down to obstruction of highway passage and 15 months deferred probation that would end in getting the case dismissed upon completion! It will be hard work but it's better than getting a DWI smacked on my background, I truly appreciate the hard work and effort! She was appointed to me but it felt as if she was hired directly by me. Do whatever she says to do, she has your best interest at heart she's great at what she does!
